Everything you need to know about our shirts.
How do you know you are wearing a quality shirt.

Stitching

Good stitching is an important part of the shirtmaking process> The stitching improves the overall durability of the shirt. It won't break down in time when you move around a lot. The best density is about 7 stitches per inch. Dense stitching requires more expensive sewing machines.

Single line stitching

When the stitching is dense, the tailor is able to use single line stitching. This will prevent puckering over time when the shirt has gone through a couple of washings. With single stitching the shirt will keep it new and clean look.

Pre-shrunk fabrics

Nowadays we have the ability to "pre-shrink" fabrics, thus avoiding unwanted shrinkage during washing. It gives a certain security that you will be able to enjoy the same size for years.

100% High end cotton

The difference between low-end and high-end cotton is the length of the fiber used in the weaving. If the staple length is short, the microscopic weaving can untie after a few washings. You can see this clearly on the fabrics of cheaper brands (also on some high-end brands too). The shirt will feel woolly over time. While long staple cotton will retain it's weaving, making it a better choice for shirts. The fabrics last a lot longer while also retaining the look and feel of being brand new.

Mother of pearl buttons

Mother-of-pearl are exclusive buttons that are a must on high-end shirts. They are known for their premium look, but well-known for their durability. They do not break like plastic buttons. You can recognize the sound of pearl buttons. They make a clear sound when you tap them to a metal object.

Perfectly matched patterns

Pattern matching is the fine art of shirt tailoring. Every fabric has its own distinctive pattern which needs to be matched during the stitching process. A trademark for high end shirts.

Made-to-measure

The fit of a made-to-measure garment is superior to that of a ready-to-wear garment. The garments are constructed to fit each customer individually based on their body measurements. It gives the wearer a full range of motion, while retaining comfortable and tailored fit.
